Kerry McCormack-Toniolo

Chair, Mission Committee
Chair, Diversity Committee

Kerry grew up loving the Mid-Hudson Valley Camps as she watched her parents direct Deaf Camp each summer. In 1999, Kerry began volunteering at other weeks of camp, serving a variety of different populations, which enhanced her passion for the mission of the MBCE. Since 2008, Kerry has served as a Session Director for Kids 1 Camp and has loved connecting with the campers and their families and supporting the extraordinary volunteer staff at Kids 1.

In 2015, Kerry was appointed to the MBCE Board of Directors and in 2020 she was named Vice-Chair. Kerry serves as Chair of the Mission Committee, charged with overseeing the alignment of the MBCE’s practices and policies with its mission. Kerry also serves as Chair of the Diversity Committee, charged with analyzing current needs in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion and designing plans for improving practices in these areas. Kerry has found these roles to be a meaningful way to support a place she believes in so deeply. Outside of the MBCE, Kerry is a Bilingual Special Education Teacher/Instructional Coach in the NYC Department of Education. She lives in Manhattan, where she spends many hours exploring local parks with her husband and two young daughters.
