In 2007, Barry Donnelly was the first alumnus to serve as Principal of St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey, a position he held for the next nine years. In 2016, he became the school’s first President, and served in that role until his retirement as a full-time administrator in 2019. In September of 2020, he began his 45th year as an educator at St. Joe’s, where he continues to teach English part-time. He is also the Director of Communications at the Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. During his time as Principal/President, Barry was a frequent visitor to Esopus, supporting his students whether on retreats or serving the various Mid-Hudson Valley Summer Camp programs. In 2019, he volunteered for a week himself at Young Adult Camp in August, assisting in the kitchen with the preparation of the week’s meals. Barry joined the Board of Directors in 2019 and currently serves on the Marketing Committee.
